This gorgeous rustic mountain retreat has been designed by KA Architecture in collaboration with Haven Interior Design, located in Big Sky, Montana. This exquisite mountain dwelling was built by Highline Partners, whose fabulous work we have featured in past, including this Montana ranch home exuding rustic-modern style. Comprised of stone and timber, the design was created to maximize the breathtaking views that surrounds the home. Another central focus point to the design was to build entertaining space to host family and friends for gatherings. A west facing terrace and fireplace makes the perfect spot to enjoy and luxuriate after a day of skiing on the slopes of the private Yellowstone Club.
From the moment you enter this rustic mountain retreat, you are swept away by the warmth and comfort that this home has to offer. With a soothing color palette of oranges, greens and browns, wood beam ceilings and wood planked flooring, mixed with timeless design… the designers did a beautiful job of pulling everything together. The living room features a beautiful floor-to-ceiling stone clad fireplace that welcomes you to relax and take in the beauty through the windows of snow-capped mountains.
What We Love: With a spectacular location and rustic features of this mountain dwelling, it is pretty perfect both inside and out. Soaring ceilings lined with wooden beams adds visual warmth, while cozy area rugs and rustic furnishings creates a cozy mountain oasis that is hard to resist. The kitchen is a chef’s dream, open, spacious and perfect for entertaining! What do you think of this home, intriguing or just another mountain home?
Here on 1 Kindesign, we have featured some other amazing mountain retreats that we think you will feel very inspired by, such as this Rustic mountain cabin retreat in Big Sky or this fabulous Rustic retreat with an industrial edge in Big Sky. Both of these mountain retreats are built by Highline Partners, the same builders of the incredible home we featured in today’s home tour. Enjoy!
